Athletes will compete at facilities across Krakow, Krynica, Tarnów and Zakopane.


Chorzów

Chorzów is the home to Silesian Stadium, the venue for the athletics competitions which will take place between June 20 to 25.

Also known as Stadion Śląski, the stadium holds just under 55,000 people and is nicknamed the "Witch's Cauldron".

It is the largest athletics stadium in Poland, has hosted the Diamond League previously and is scheduled to host the European Athletics Championships in 2028.

Chorzów is nearly 90 kilometres to the west of Kraków.

Kraków

Kraków, the former capital of Poland, is a city steeped in medieval history and will be the main focal point of the European Games hosting 11 sports.

The main square in the centre of the old town, surrounded by galleries, restaurants and delicatessens, will play host to teqball and padel and provide a stunning backdrop.

The Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the rugby sevens will take place at Henryk Reyman Stadium, the home of Wisła Kraków Football Club, with space for more than 33,000 people.

Tauron Arena, the largest arena in Poland with a capacity of 15,000, will stage fencing and has previously been the host for World and European Championships in 18 different sports.

The 3x3 basketball will be played at Cracovia Arena, while Cracovia Hall, usually an ice hockey rink, will be modified for the karate and kickboxing tournaments.

There are different venues for the canoe slalom and canoe sprint, with the former at Kolna Sports Centre and the latter at Kryspinow Waterway in the village of Budzyn.

Modern pentathlon will be held at the AWF Sports Centre, table tennis at Hutnik Arena and triathlon at the Nowa Huta Lake, a reservoir popular for picnics, festivals and other activities.

Archery will take place at Plaszowianka Archery Park.

Krzeszowice

Krzeszowice BMX Park will host the cycling BMX freestyle events with the new skate park being built for the European Games.

There will be space for 500 seated fans and 2,000 standing places too.

Krynica-Zdrój

The stunning Krynica-Zdrój Hill Park will be the home of both the mountain bike and mountain running, an accompanying sport, at the Games.

Reached by cable car and offering spectacular views on a clear day, the 60-hectare, 200-year-old park has numerous walking paths, ponds and fitness trails, as well as a toboggan run.

The Krynica-Zdrój Arena, the home of a full size ice rink, will stage both judo and taekwondo.

Krynica-Zdrój lies about 125km to the south of Kraków, close to the border with Slovakia.

Nowy Sącz

Strzelecki National Park in Nowy Sącz will be the venue for breaking, where a fully roofed amphitheatre will host the competition with space for more than 3,000 people.

Nowy Sącz is one of the oldest towns in Małopolska, situated on the banks of Dunajec River, and is around 90km to the south of Kraków.

The park was thoroughly revitalised in 2021 and today there are numerous playgrounds, a pond, a fountain, a health path with outdoor exercise equipment, a multifunctional sports field, tennis courts and a graduation tower.

Nowy Targ

Boxing tournaments are set to be contested at the Nowy Targ Arena, 90km to the south of Kraków.

The home of the Podhale Nowy Targ club, it will be able to seat 3,000 fans during the European Games.

Oświęcim

The Aquatics Centre in in Oświęcim, 70km west of Kraków, will be home to the artistic swimming.

It boasts an Olympic-sized swimming pool and is also known as the MOSiR Indoor Swimming Pool.

Rzeszów

The diving competitions at the European Games will be held at the Diving Arena in Rzeszów, 160km to the east of Kraków, close to the border of Ukraine.

Work on the venue will bring it up to World Aquatics standards, with a 29m long by 25m wide pool, while towers between one and 10 metres and six swimming lanes will also be part of the venue.

Tarnów

Situated 85km east of Kraków, Tarnów will host four sports during the Games.

Sport climbing will take place at the Tarnów Climbing Centre and badminton at the Jaskolka Arena, which has room for more than 4,000 fans.

The new Tarnów Beach Arena will be the home of both beach soccer and beach handball.

Wrocław

Wrocław, the World Games 2017 host, will host the shooting competition at the Wrocław Shooting Centre.

At 270km north-west of Kraków, it is the venue furthest from the Games’ epicentre.

Zakopane

Zakopane will host the summer ski jumping competitions on its two hills at its Wielka Krokiew venue.

A well-known venue on the ski jumping circuit, the complex has been thoroughly modernised with work completed in 2021.
