The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) will have an exhibition stand showcasing the women's game at the Convention, which is due to begin on Sunday (April 6) in Belek/Antalya, Turkey.

Istanbul and Ankara will play host to the FIBA World Championship for Women in September and October, and officials are keen to show off all the women's game has to offer.

"SportAccord Convention is one of the most important dates on FIBA's calendar and on the sports calendar in general," said FIBA secretary general and International Olympic Committee member Patrick Baumann

"It is the perfect platform to bring sports' stakeholders together.

"After highlighting our 3x3 discipline at the Convention in 2012 and 2013 and getting excellent feedback, we are now looking forward to promoting women's basketball."

FIBA is in the second year of its two-year deal as a Bronze Partner for the event, being held in the Susesi convention centre.

SportAccord Convention managing director Nis Hatt said: "Having been a partner of the Convention for 11 years, FIBA has been incredibly committed to the event, and its values.

"Each year it uses the Convention to highlight its latest, exciting initiatives, and I cannot wait to drop by their booth to see their promotion of women's basketball."

The Convention is scheduled to last until April 11.
